My Package Is Out West

Two days until I leave.
Filled the truck up today for the first time for the trip.
34.356 gallons. $107.16.
That was with a dollar off per gallon.
Holy crap.
I’ve done all the calculations for fuel, so none of this should be surprising. But $107 with a dollar off per gallon?
Yeah. This is going to be expensive.
Then I went to put some air in the tires.
My air pump died.
Great timing.
I’ve had that thing for a while, so I guess it was going to happen eventually. Would have preferred sometime other than two days before leaving.
Also spent some time screwing around with the Android tablet in the truck. Got Bluetooth working. Music comes through the truck speakers.
ChatGPT doesn’t.
No idea why yet.
And then there’s my package. It’s a jack, and I need it for the trip.
It shipped September 1.
September 2 it was in New Jersey. Then Oregon. Then it actually made it to North Carolina.
You’d think that would be good.
Nope.
It went back across the country.
As of this morning it left Phoenix, Arizona.
I’m in North Carolina.
FedEx says:
Delivery date currently unavailable.
I’m leaving Thursday.
At this rate the package may get to Joshua Tree before I do.
Tomorrow I need to get the trailer weighed.
Still have packing to do.
Two days.
